A dear friend of mine is driving Al to a rehab in Kansas tomorrow. I might be crazy to support another rehab attempt. But my gut says I need to try. God bless my friend for his willingness to make the 5-hour drive each way. Al is ready and excited.
Now I need sleep. God bless.
You are not crazy my friend, you are his mother and when they ask for help we give it and do anything and everything in our power to help them. I am so glad he has asked for help and I am also very glad you have a good friend that can take him where he needs to go. I hope you sleep as well as you can tonight. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. Our worry never ends.
Hugs to you and yours.
Thanks, Renee! I laugh because it’s quite possible that five hours in the car with my friend R. might be more therapeutic than any 30-day class, lol. R. is a retired military officer with a very deep faith. And Al respects him very much. Al might just get the longest sermon of his life on this ride!
You may be right. Let us know how it goes. Sometimes someone who isnt family is the best person for them to open up to and listen to. God Bless you! Hugs
